Experience Brazil in Copenhagen

One thing I love about Copenhagen is this city has various events to offer, from Sakura festival to Jazz festival. This week the city hold a Copenhagen Carnival, the largest festival in Copenhagen to world music. The idea is to imitate the carnival parade in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where sexy women dance to the Latin and Samba rhythm through the city streets. Apparently, this festival is hold annually at every Pentecost since 1982.

We went to see the parade yesterday. It is pretty exciting to see the women dressed in a sexy costumes, complete with the feather, sequins, lots of colors and even wings, and they danced along to the Samba music played by a group of bands. Even though some say that last year parade is a lot more amazing, I am quite pleased with the parade, despite the crowded and loud musics.

Well I guess pictures could describe better about the carnival parade, so here are some pictures I took.

The mascot

The Dancers' Pose

One Pretty Angel (Yes, she wears wings!)

She dances for me. LOL

The sexy Samba dancer
The extravagant costume

The band

There's a rumor that some men dressed like sexy woman and participate in the dance.
I am quite believe that this one is a guy :-D
Hope you like the pictures!

Cheers,
Indispensable Lady
